Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 Onions (M)
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 800 g Mixed ground meat
  • 800 g Ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 200 g Tomato paste
  • 3 kg Pureed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Dried oregano
  • 0,5 tsp Dried thyme
  • 5 tbsp Dried basil
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder (sweet)
  • 3 tsp Paprika powder (hot)
  • 1 tsp Black pepper (ground)
  • 1 tsp Cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut the onion and garlic into small cubes.
  2. Add the olive oil to the pot and heat slightly.
  3. Sauté: Sauté the onions and garlic until they become translucent.
  4. Fry ground meat: Add ground meat with salt and fry 'dead'. The salt extracts a lot of water. This is intentional, and this water should be reduced until the meat is crispy but not black.
  5. Now add the tomato paste. Stir well and heat.
  6. Then add the pureed tomatoes.
  7. Prepare spices: Finally, weigh all the spices into a bowl and mix well. Then add to the sauce.
  8. Now bring the sauce to a boil.
  9. Let simmer: After boiling, turn off the stove and leave the sauce on the plate. Now let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes on the cooling stove, stirring occasionally.
  10. During these 10 minutes you can cook the pasta.
